Should I take the medicines my doctors describe for Crohn's disease and Ulcerous colitis?

Different kinds of medicine

How do you feel about your doctor's prescription? Should you take medicines to improve your Crohn's disease or Ulcerative colitis? As much as I hope that there one day will be a medicine that works well for IBD, I don't think there's a miracle pill/shot right now. I guess some stuff can help you lower inflammation, but I think you can control your inflammation much more on your own.

I'm not a physician. If the doctors told you to take certain medicines, maybe you can take them AND do the things I suggest to improve your chances of getting well.

I think most conventional doctors are clueless about diet and its effects on our bodies. During the two years I was ill, I asked all my doctors and nurses, "What should I eat? What should I stay away from."

They all said the same thing. "It doesn't matter what you eat."

Doctors spend 0 hours studying nutrition. Yes, you read that correctly, and you can check to look up for yourself. They study the human body for five years and nutrition for 0 hours.

I KNOW. I'll bet my life that nutrition, what you eat, how you eat, how often you eat, when you eat, and how the things you eat have been cooked all play a BIG part in how your body feels.

One person I know agrees with me is Dr. David Sinclair, a Professor in the Department of Genetics and co-Director of the Paul F. Glenn Center for Biology of Aging Research at Harvard Medical School. He is best known for his work on understanding why we age and how to slow its effects
