Understanding Your Disease Through Its Opposite
We know what night is because there is a day. Up exists only because of down. The only way for something to have a back is if it also has a front. Warmness exists in relation to cold. Everything has an opposite. It helps us to understand complicated issues if we know their opposites. Let's do an exercise to understand your disease through its opposite.
Let's examine our states when we have flare-ups from Crohn's disease and Ulcerös Collit. What do we feel? We feel pain and agony. We're tense, and all we can think of is the suffering we are experiencing.
Find Harmony and avoid Crohn's Disease and Ulcerous Colitis
So, what is the opposite of pain and agony, suffering being tense and worried?
It's being relaxed and in harmony, being playful and joyful.
You cannot be warm and cold at the same time. You cannot be low and high simultaneously. If we manage to get into harmonic, happy states where we feel well and are blissful, we cannot simultaneously be in agony, tense, and pain.
How do we get into a super relaxed, harmonious state?
To get there is a lifelong quest. There is no formula. You have to get to know yourself well. Strive to know yourself like you know your own best friend, wife, or lover. BE YOUR OWN BEST FRIEND.
From Agony to Joy: Understanding Your Disease Through Its Opposite
Journey with me, dear reader, as we explore ways of journeying from the tense, agonized state that comes with flare-ups to a harmonious, relaxed state. Yes, it's a lifelong quest, but oh, what a worthwhile quest it is! So here's my suggestion: embrace the journey to self-discovery, learn about yourself, and how to best navigate your health.
Invest in yourself. Surround yourself with positive people. Indulge in the things that bring you joy. Be present. Live in the moment. Deep breaths. Regular exercise. Laughter is the best medicine. I know it sounds like a cliche, but it stems from somewhere. You don't feel pain when you're happy and relaxed, at ease, in peace.
Take moments to appreciate nature, to appreciate beauty. All these simple things leads us to that harmonious state.

And always remember that this is not a solo journey. There's a community of us out there, all striving for the same thing. Lean on that community. Share your experiences and draw on the experiences of others. There's strength in numbers.
Keep in mind; your disease does not define you. You're so much more. So, live your life with joy, hope, and enthusiasm. Remember, the flare-ups, the pain; they're temporary. But your spirit, your strength, that's eternal.
